in term of activities, it depends on are that you are living in.
each region is completely different.
you can go for surfing if you live close to the beach.
ski/snowboarding if live close to the mountain.
fishing/kayaking if you got a river nearly
However, if you are talking about the social life.
then it is depends on your attitude.
if you are very passive you might find it very boring.
base on my experience, you have to sociallize with people other than chinese.
if you can social with white people, and be friend with them.
you can have a lot of fun in parties. however, it might not be a good idea to have too many party consider your goal is study.

I would say it really depends on the group you involved in~For most of the Chinese student, they just feel more comfortable to stack with their Chinese friends. Usually they attend the lecture everyday, study and play around together. A few students may have the curiosity and ambition to get touched with the natives which includes CBCs(Canadian Born Chinese)or other locals as most of them are Caucasians. For the college life, I would say one of the most vital thing is STUDY because GPA is really significant for many events. Such as major selecting,applying for graduate school, co-operate program~Besides, party is also a common event here . Drinking, Chilling,~Its stupid but its fun~Or rich kids could go clubbing every weekends to try to have fun there.
